“It was important to us to minimize our environmental footprint as much as possible during the farmhouse reno, so our first choice was always to reuse the old wood from the original house. Where this wasn’t possible, it felt so great to be able to use sustainably grown and harvested wood from Cortes Island. What amazed me the most, apart from the beautiful wood quality, was that it wasn’t more expensive than buying wood from the local big box hardware store!”
